Cricket auction software, compared.
Six platforms that run player auctions, compared on what each one publishes about bidding, purse enforcement, owner access, broadcast output and price.
Cricket auction platforms split into two groups. Auction-only tools (cric.auction, AuctionBall, CricBid) do the bidding event very well and stop there, with no fixtures, scoring or standings. Combined platforms (CricketOrganizer, CricSmart, CrickHunt) carry the auction result into the rest of the tournament. Pricing models differ more than features: per-auction fees from ₹399 to ৳9,999, against CricketOrganizer’s one-time $6 per team over a free first three.

Two kinds of product in one category
The matrix separates cleanly into two groups once you read down the fixtures and scoring rows.
- Auction-only tools. cric.auction, AuctionBall and CricBid do the bidding event and stop. Squads come out as an export, and fixtures, scoring and standings happen somewhere else.
- Combined platforms. CricketOrganizer, CricSmart and CrickHunt carry the auction result into the rest of the tournament, which removes the handoff organizers most often get wrong.
Neither group is better in the abstract. For a one-off auction with nothing downstream, the specialists are cheaper and simpler. For a tournament that continues afterwards, retyping squads is a real cost. Why the handoffs matter.

- Web and Android app access for bidding.

Pricing models differ more than features do in this category. Four vendors publish figures and two do not, and the per-auction model against the per-team model produces very different totals depending on tournament size.
- CricketOrganizer
- Free for the first 3 teams and up to 75 players with all features and no trial expiry. $6 per additional team thereafter, up to 32 teams, as a one-time payment rather than a subscription. Six billing currencies.
- CricSmart
- Stated as "completely free" for tournaments with fewer than 5 teams and a "nominal one-time fee" for larger events. No specific figures published.
- CricBid
- Not publicly documented.
- AuctionBall
- Free tier at ৳0 for 1 season, 33 players and 3 teams. Starter ৳5,999 per auction for 78 players and 5 teams. Pro ৳9,999 per auction for unlimited players and 8 teams. Enterprise priced on request.

Sources and method
Every competitor claim on this page was read from that vendor’s own published pages on 2026-10-08. Capabilities a vendor publishes nothing about are marked “Not publicly documented” rather than recorded as absent, because the second is a claim about their product we are not in a position to make from the outside.
Rows marked “In development” appear only against CricketOrganizer, and are sourced from its product repository rather than from a public page. That is first-hand evidence this team has for its own product and does not have for anyone else’s, so no competitor is ever marked that way. It is deliberately not counted as a shipped capability.

Auction software comparison FAQ
What separates auction-only tools from tournament platforms?
What happens after the gavel. An auction-only tool gives you squads as an export, and fixtures, scoring and standings happen somewhere else. A tournament platform keeps the squads and uses them, which removes the one handoff organizers most often get wrong.
Which auction platforms publish their pricing?
Four of the six do. cric.auction publishes ₹399, ₹999 and ₹1,499 per auction by team count. AuctionBall publishes ৳0, ৳5,999 and ৳9,999 per auction. CricketOrganizer publishes a free first three teams and $6 per additional team as a one-time payment. CricSmart states free under five teams and a "nominal one-time fee" above without a figure. CricBid and CrickHunt publish no pricing. All feature claims were read from each vendor's own published pages on 2026-10-08.
Do all of them let owners bid from their own phones?
CricketOrganizer, CricSmart, CricBid, AuctionBall and CrickHunt all document owners bidding from their own devices. cric.auction documents real-time bidding but does not state whether owners bid from their own devices or the auctioneer enters every bid, so it is recorded as not publicly documented.
Which support retention or right-to-match rules?
CricSmart documents player retention through an RTM card, cric.auction documents automatic enforcement of retention rules, and CricBid documents retention and base limits per team. CricketOrganizer documents category sets, tiered increments, direct sell and unsold re-auction, but does not document a retention rule on its landing page.
