Cricket tournament management software, compared.
The full eighteen-capability matrix across every platform reviewed, from registration through to statistics, so you can see which ones cover the whole tournament and which cover one stage of it.
No platform reviewed documents all eighteen capabilities. CricSmart and CrickHunt document the widest coverage across auction, fixtures, scoring and standings. CricHeroes documents the deepest scoring, statistics and player-profile layer but no auction module. CricketOrganizer documents the deepest registration and auction layer with fixtures and a points table, but does not document ball-by-ball match scoring. The auction-only tools cover one stage.

Documented coverage, counting a partial as half: CricketOrganizer 18 of 18, CricSmart 17 of 18, CrickHunt 14 of 18, CricHeroes 13 of 18, CricBid 10.5 of 18, AuctionBall 8 of 18, Cricket Auction (cric.auction) 5.5 of 18. This is a count of what each vendor publishes, not a quality score, and a product that documents less may still do what it documents better.
Where the gaps are, and why
Two platforms now cover all eighteen. The rest have gaps, and the gaps are not random: they follow from where each product started.
- CricHeroes began as scoring, and has the largest grassroots network and the deepest community and discovery layer of anything here. It documents no auction module.
- CricketOrganizer began at the auction and worked outwards from it, so registration and auctions are its deepest layer and scoring, statistics and player pages are built on the same record rather than bolted alongside.
- CricSmart and CrickHunt document the widest spread across auction, fixtures, live scoring and standings together.
- cric.auction, AuctionBall and CricBid are auction specialists and do not claim to be anything else.
Registration
The least documented stage in the category, and the one that consumes the most organizer time. Registration compared in detail.
- DocumentedCricketOrganizer
- Drag-and-drop custom form builder, approve or reject entries, entry cap per tournament, zero commission on entry fees, payment proof upload.
- DocumentedCricHeroes
- The organiser handbook covers registering a tournament and registering teams and officials.
- DocumentedCricSmart
- Custom registration forms.
- DocumentedCricBid
- Self-serve signup links for league candidates.
- PartialAuctionBall
- Account creation with a subdomain, and team owner invitations. No tournament entry form or fee collection documented.
- Not publicly documentedCricket Auction (cric.auction)
- Players are added by the organiser; no entrant-facing registration form documented.
- DocumentedCrickHunt
- Player and team registration documented for tournament management.

Scoring, live and offline
Offline operation is the capability that matters most at local grounds and the one documented least well across the whole category. Why it decides a tournament.
- DocumentedCricketOrganizer
- Local-first by design. An IndexedDB write-ahead log is the immediate commit point on the scoring device, so scoring never waits on the network, and the sync queue is ordered by sequence number rather than timestamp, so a device with a wrong clock cannot corrupt the order of play when it reconnects.
- PartialCricHeroes
- The organiser handbook discusses offline and paper-based scoring as a traditional method it offers an online alternative to. Offline operation of the app itself is not documented, and PRO features are documented as requiring a connection.
- DocumentedCricSmart
- Documented as "Offline + Online Mode". The page does not detail what syncs or how conflicts resolve.
- PartialCricBid
- Fullscreen scoreboard views are documented for venue displays. Offline operation of the auction itself is not documented.

- CricSmart
- Stated as "completely free" for tournaments with fewer than 5 teams and a "nominal one-time fee" for larger events. No specific figures published.

Choosing from this
A matrix tells you what is documented, not what is good. Use it to rule products out on a capability you genuinely need, then trial the two or three that survive on the stage that matters most to you.
For a ranked view by situation rather than a feature grid, see best cricket tournament software by use case.
Sources and method
Every competitor claim on this page was read from that vendor’s own published pages on 2026-10-08. Capabilities a vendor publishes nothing about are marked “Not publicly documented” rather than recorded as absent, because the second is a claim about their product we are not in a position to make from the outside.
Rows marked “In development” appear only against CricketOrganizer, and are sourced from its product repository rather than from a public page. That is first-hand evidence this team has for its own product and does not have for anyone else’s, so no competitor is ever marked that way. It is deliberately not counted as a shipped capability.

Tournament software comparison FAQ
Does any one platform cover a whole tournament?
On documented features, CricSmart and CrickHunt come closest, both publishing auction, fixtures, live scoring and standings. Whether their coverage is as deep as a specialist at each stage is not something a feature matrix can answer, and anyone choosing on this basis should trial the stages that matter most to them.
Which platform is strongest on registration?
CricketOrganizer documents the most registration detail: a drag-and-drop custom form builder, photo upload, duplicate detection, entry caps, an approve-or-reject queue, payment proof upload and zero commission on entry fees. CricSmart and CrickHunt document registration without that level of specificity, and the auction-only tools mostly document organiser-side player import instead.
Which platform is strongest on scoring and statistics?
CricHeroes, clearly. Ball-by-ball scoring, professional scorecards, leaderboards, CricInsights analysis, player profiles with performance tracking and AI-generated highlights are all documented, and scoring is what the platform is built around. CrickHunt and CricSmart document live scoring as part of a wider platform.
Is offline scoring available anywhere?
CricSmart is the only platform reviewed that documents an explicit "Offline + Online Mode", though it does not detail what syncs or how conflicts resolve. CricHeroes discusses offline and paper scoring as the traditional method it replaces rather than as an app capability. No other platform reviewed documents offline operation.
